Lens of Life is a photography competition based at 10X International School, Bangalore. Founded in October 2024, it is a completely online, individual event for students in Grades 6–12. Participants submit 2 to 4 photographs under a specific category, along with 50-word descriptions for each image. Entries can be shot on a phone or camera, though we recommend using a camera.
Our judging panel looks for creativity, technical skill, composition, message strength, and the other elements that make a strong photograph. All profits go to charity, helping community causes and encouraging empathy in society. Across 3 editions, Lens of Life has raised more than ₹20,000 and supported hundreds of children with food and shelter.
OUR STORY ↗To travel is to learn. What defines the summer season? What celebrations have you witnessed? What behaviours are characteristic to cultures and communities during this time? And what are their significances? This category aims to document these festive months.
CATEGORY / 01Nature. Plants and Animals. Landscapes. Humans have an intrinsic connection with the natural world. This category prioritizes the expression of the beauty of nature through the simplicity of camera lens.
CATEGORY / 02Are the given categories too boring for you? Do you have some other idea in your mind? Well, try the Open Category, where you can submit entries for any theme! In this category, we look for the impact you can have with your photos and the strength of the message that the images express. Creativity and innovation are emphasized as well. Let your photography, creative, and communication skills soar free in the open category!
